Do those of you who have sensory integration issues, notice that they are harder to cope with when you are tired?  If so, do you have coping mechanisms that help?  The reason that I ask is because when my daughter, who has HFA, is tired she has a really hard time coping with sensory stuff.  It seems like everything is more intense for her when she ( Read more... )

Can't remember if this has been asked before (and even if it has, new people come and go)...have any of you tried either of the above (either as an adult or a child), and if so, what did you think? Did it help with said issues?

Sensory Integration Therapy has been suggested to me for our youngest child. But just the thought of someone doing some of the things they want to do, such as brush him with paint brushes so he can become accustomed to the sensation is enough to make ME panic and want to break each and every paint brush I see ( Read more... )
